Since 2019 elected member of European Parliament, focusing on climate, energy and public health.
For most of his professional life Knotek worked for multinational companies in the engineering and pharmaceutical sectors. Before joining the Parliament, he was Quality Manager at ROTAREX, a Luxembourg company.
First political experience gained as a council board member of the town of Mariánské Lázně, where he was responsible for energy, water, environment and control activities. At the beginning of his professional career, Knotek served as an investigator of the narcotics department of the Police of the Czech Republic.
Ondřej Knotek graduated from the University of Chemical Technology in Prague, majoring in Chemical and Process Engineering with a focus on technology in the chemical industry and environmental protection.
