Benjamin Hague is Head of Think Tank at the Institute of Circular Economy (INCIEN) in Prague. He has over 25 years of experience in Europe and Asia as a consultant in industrial market research across diversified industry sectors including mining, chemicals, metals, materials, construction, manufacturing, heavy equipment and industrial aftermarkets. In this capacity, he has worked on over 350 global and regional projects with leading multinational corporations in these sectors. He is currently responsible for programmes at INCIEN related to economic and technology research, policy analysis and the promotion of international best practices in the circular economy in the Czech national and CEE regional context. Current priority topics include heavy industry & manufacturing, buildings & construction, the circular bioeconomy and their interface with global megatrends and the EU policy agenda – climate change, decarbonisation, biodiversity, digitalisation, innovation, jobs and skills. He is the lead author of a new study by INCIEN on the role of the circular economy in industry decarbonisation, drawing from the latest international research on this sometimes overlooked pathway to climate neutrality. The study was produced with the support of the European Climate Foundation.
